A cautionary tale for all cultures and times...The Soldier’s Tale is a dark Faustian fable telling the story of a Soldier on leave from war who meets the devil and trades his fiddle for a book which holds the key to untold wealth and success, or so he is led to believe...
Join us for this unique opportunity to hear Stravinsky’s masterpiece on the 100th year anniversary of its writing and in its original music-theatre form. Internationally renowned Belfast born actor Ciarán Hinds joins Northern Ireland’s professional chamber music group The Fews Ensemble directed by violinist Joanne Quigley McParland for what promises to be an unforgettable evening.
Also on the bill is Piazzolla’s depiction of the history of the tango. A sumptuous piece of chamber music which will set the mood for Stravinsky’s musicial language.
