Incus Ensemble was formed in 2014 and has already performed to critical acclaim in venues throughout the UK including concerts in London and Birmingham. David, Rose and Jack each have impressive individual performing careers as soloists and chamber musicians.

In this concert Incus Ensemble present music by Schumann and Bruch for this unusual trio of instruments. The varied programme also includes works by British composers Herbert Howells, Malcolm Arnold and Benjamin Britten.

The Artists

Rose Redgrave viola

The daughter of a violist and artist Rose Redgrave grew up in Norfolk in a creative household where art and music were the focus of daily life. She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and at the Royal Academy with Yossi Zivoni, Vicci Wardman and the late John White. Her love of chamber music was nurtured through studying with the late Christopher Rowland and at the Academy where her quartet held the Leverhulme scholarship. Rose enjoys a busy and varied career made up of performing chamber music, contemporary music, early music on the baroque viola, commercial recording, teaching and chamber music coaching. Jack McNeill
clarinet

Jack McNeill is a clarinet and bass clarinet player based in Birmingham and working throughout the UK and Europe. A Britten-Pears Young Artist in 2011 and 2013/14, he performs as a soloist and also as a chamber musician with Incus Ensemble and Ed Bennett's DECIBEL. His work as a freelance player includes the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Singers, the Hilliard Ensemble, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Orchestra of the Swan, The Harborough Collective, CHROMA, the RSC, Park Lane Group and as an on-stage musician/actor with Sebastian Mathias' Danserye and Thom Luz' When I Die. David Quigley piano

Award winning Irish pianist David Quigley enjoys a wide and varied career as a recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in many of the world's greatest concert halls including thePhilharmonie Köln, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Symphony Hall Birmingham, Musikverein Vienna, Mozarteum Salzburg, Palais des Beaux-Arts Brussels, National Concert Hall Athens, Wigmore Hall London, Konserthaus Stockholm and Carnegie Hall New York.
